OLYMPIC RAINFORESTPhotos from a trip to Olympic National Rainforest.
Photo Gallery / 20 Pictures / NIKON D800 CAMERA
My Dad and I went on a trip to Olympic National Rainforest in Washington. I never knew that a place like this existed in North America. You can't travel through the forest, you have to circle it and can enter from certain places. We traveled with a group in and out of the forest while stopping by beaches and lavender farms as well as going to the tops of mountains to see sunsets. Anyone that can, I highly recommend you take a trip to this magical place.

COYOTE BUTTE SOUTHPhotos from a our second trip to Coyote Butte South.
Photo Gallery / 24 Pictures / NIKON D800 CAMERA
The first time we came here, it was at the end of a trip and my Dad didn't get to come see this place in specific call Cottonwood Cove. It instantly became one of my favorite places and after my Dad saw my pictures, he made sure that we we're gonna come back here. This time, we stopped at Bryce and were able to have one of our friend's, Chris Skoog meet us in Kanab. We did a private session with Dreamland Safaris and specifically got Bret because him, and the company, are fantastic. We had such a blast on this trip and it is still one of my favorite places to go.

ICELANDPhotos from a trip to Iceland.
Photo Gallery / 24 Pictures / NIKON D800 CAMERA
Iceland. Do I need to say more. This was one of those places that you don't think your gonna go to in your your life. We toured the north half of with a group run by Andy Cook, owner of Rocky Mountain Reflections, and guided by Nature Explorer of Iceland. We saw everything from geysers, springs, lava rocks and waterfalls. So many amazing waterfalls. One night we were able to see the Northern Lights which was the cherry on top of the trip. Some people in our group had gone on trips, specific to seeing the Northern Lights, and still didn't see them then. They went crazy when they saw them. Was a grand adventure and want to go and see the south side. www.natureexplorer.is www.rockymtnrefl.com |

BLACK HILLSPhotos from a trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Photo Gallery / 24 Pictures / NIKON D800 CAMERA
My Dad and I went to the Black Hills, just the two of us, no group. The first day was a wash, literally. It consistency rained all day. We drove out a couple of time to see if there was any possibility of taking pictures, and there wasn't. But, the next day, the Black Hills had a deep fog in them. As the sun came out, it pushed the fog and clouds out at an amazingly fast rate. If you liked the way the shade of the clouds was over the hills, then take the picture fast cause it was different in two seconds. We hiked off the tourist parts and got some great pictures.

I went on a five day photography shoot with my dad, two friends and Peter, our Guide. The first three days we took Pete's boat on Lake Powell and got amazing shots of sunrises, sunsets and almost perfect reflection pictures. Then we traveled to known spots around Page in Arizona. Then finished the trip with a night at White Pocket. Peter works with First Light Photo Tours and they have always been great. Check them out at www.firstlightphototours.com

COYOTE BUTTE NORTHPhotos from a quick trip to the Wave in Coyote Butte North.
Photo Gallery / 24 Pictures / NIKON D800 CAMERA
The Wave is a small area within Coyote Butte North that has become a popular place to go. It requires a permit that is hard to get, cause only 20 are given a day and it's done by lottery. My dad ended up winning permits for the 8th of December. We made quick stops at Arches Nation Park and Zion Nation Park as well as scenic view areas along the way.

I went on a three day photography shoot with my dad near Kanab, Utah. The first two days we took pictures at White Pockets and camped out overnight. The third day we went to South Coyote Butte and hurried through these amazing rock formations. We used Dreamland Safaries as our guides to these places. I'd highly recommend them for anyone who wants to travel out in the Kanab area. Check them out at www.dreamlandtours.net

PAGE ARIZONAPhotos from a three day photoshoot around Page, Arizona.
Photo Gallery / 20 Pictures / NIKON D800 CAMERA
I went on a three day photography lesson in Page, Arizona, near Lake Powell. Three of us where instructed by Peter Shinyeda of First Light Photo Tours. Learned a lot, especially on Bracketing(BKT), which is taking a picture at different exposures then combining them in post into one picture(HDR). Had a blast and would recommend Peter and First Light Photo Tours to anyone who loves, or just wants to take a photography lesson. Check them out at www.firstlightphototours.com
